American Idol - March 13

It was grey night on "American Idol."
Kidding. It just looked that way judging by some of the contestants' choice of outfits. I mean can someone please take Brandon Rogers in hand and encourage the brother to add a little bit of color to his wardrobe? Just a little?
Blake Lewis tried a little bit too hard to impress with his layered look, though I liked how he popped the collar on his suit (grey, of course!). And I won't even get into Sanjaya's hair. Did he really perm it or has he just been straightening it all this time?
But thankfully there were some fashion winners last night. So drumroll please ....

LaKisha Jones.
LaKisha has struggled to find the right looks but her white gown was not only beautiful and very goddess like, but a perfect fit for her song choice - "God Bless The Child." The only thing missing was Billie Holliday's trademark flower in the hair.

Jordin Sparks.
This burgundy number was a showstopper, but what really made it a winner was not only how well it fit Jordin and her mood, but how well it suited her - not too young, not too old, but just right.

How about we start a petition to change how the voting works?
Let's have us vote for the contestants that we want OFF of Idol.
Right now, I feel that it is a contest of chance. You like some singers and really like others. You vote for the ones you like because the others that you really like are really good and perhaps you think that they are safe.
The judges always tell us to remember that.
However, it is hard to control.
What is sad is when you hear that contestants have bad reviews and still stay in the contest, something must be wrong!
If we change the voting to vote for those we want to go, there will be less of a chance of getting rid of the ones that should really stay.

I agree with the anonymous post. That is a really smart idea! It would make more sense to pick the person you like the least to ensure that it is obvious which people shoul be voted off, instead of it mistakes happening like with Chris in the past season. Either that, or we are just way to obsessed with the show. haha if you are, then you might like this contest on the pringles website. you could win two tickets to the finale performance of american idol plus airfare, transportation, hotel and 500 bucks cash!! All you do is write and upload a jingle before April 8th to this website- http://www.jinglesforpringles.com/?market=1. I work with Pringles so I know all the juicy details. But how sweet is it that they are doing an american idols contest that allows you to win based on talent? So cool! Anyway, have fun and good luck!
